About Mr. Robinson

PHILIP A. ROBINSON JR. is a sculptor working primarily with themes related to WEALTH, CULTURE, MUSIC, FASHION and MEDIA to formulate connotations of real life situations and historical backgrounds.  His Sculptures navigate the media’s cultural appropriation of the historical significances, Music, Language, Fashion, and Wealth of the African Diaspora.

Robinson has exhibited throughout the Tri-State area including, The Prizm Art Fair in Miami for Art Basel, The Rush Arts Gallery, The National Academy Museum and School, the Jersey City Arts Studio Tour, the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibition, The Frances Young Tang Museum and Art Gallery, the Morsels Studios, 107 Bowers Gallery, the Distillery Gallery, and the NEWYORKMINDED Gallery.  He received his BFA in Studio Art from Skidmore College and his MFA in Sculpture from Mason Gross School of the Arts.
